Come to MOHAI for a hands-on experience your students will never forget! At the museum, classes have the opportunity to explore our exhibits through self-guided activities and uniquely themed programs led by MOHAI educators. New guided programs are now offered for Kindergarten - 8th grade students, and self-guided visits are available to classes of all ages. Scholarships and bus reimbursement funds are available to schools that qualify.
Bring the museum to your classroom and make history come alive before your students' eyes. Each Portable Museum Trunk or Kit contains artifacts, a slide show, documents, audio, and an extensive Teacher's Manual with EALR-aligned lesson plans and activities adapted to meet individual class needs. Portable Museums are available on a variety of topics and are suitable for all grade levels. Book a minimum of two weeks in advance to ensure availability.
MOHAI offers exciting outreach programs, available for Kindergarden - 12th grade, that bring history into your classroom with hands-on artifact analysis, group discussion, and more. In-class programs are a wonderful way to kick off your Portable Museum rental by introducting primary source analysis and the themes of our rental trunks. All classroom programs must be booked a minimum of three weeks in advance and are subject to educator availability.
