Are you a teacher that cannot get to the museum? MOHAI has a Portable Museum Kit that's perfect for introducing the story of Seattle's founding to preschool classrooms or learning co-ops. Learn more

Teen Programs

MOHAI Youth Advisors (MYA)

MOHAI looks for creative and motivated teens that are interested in history and community engagement to join MOHAI's Youth Advisors. This team of ten high school students, ages 14-18 will meet regularly from January-June to help research, collaborate, and be empowered to create a more teen-friendly museum. Members of MYA are paid a monthly honorarium and will be responsible for planning and implementing a culminating event at MOHAI in June. Learn more

Youth Empowerment Day

Saturday, August 6, 9 am–4:30 pm

YouthEmpower2016 Web iconCalling all future leaders! Join MOHAI and NonprofitLeader.Org for Seattle's second annual Youth Empowerment Day! During this day-long event, youths will have the opportunity to work alongside local nonprofit leaders to deepen their knowledge of issues affecting their local peers and gain hands-on experience making an impact in their own communities. Everyone will leave having made a difference! Open to youth ages 12-21.

Teen Tix

MOHAI is now a proud partner of Teen Tix. Teens aged 13-19 can sign up for a free pass to get $5 admission to MOHAI and other local museums and arts peformances. Learn more

Maker Days

On the last Saturday of the month, come to Maker Day at MOHAI to tinker, experiment and create alongside some of Seattle's most innovative makers. These regular drop-in programs are free to participate and great for all ages and skill levels, with new visiting makers and activities planned each month. Learn more

Summer Camps

Spend your summer vacation with MOHAI! This year MOHAI is teaming up with Pacific Science Center, Seattle Children's Theatre, and the Center for Wooden Boats to offer three summer camp programs for kids entering grades 2-6. Discover Seattle's past, explore its present, and dream up the city's future during one of these week-long day camp programs. Learn more
