Using Film in the Classroom - SOLD OUT
Saturday, March 02, 2013, 09:00am - 01:30pm

This program is now sold out. We will be accepting a limited waiting list in case of cancellations - please email for more information!

Co-presented by MOHAI and KCTS 9, this free teacher training will explore the ways in which educators can use film to enhance social studies learning in the classroom. Educators from MOHAI's staff will present materials from our own in-class film program and discuss useful tools for talking about film in the classroom, and KCTS 9's Tony Gomez will introduce PBS Learning Media and discuss some of the online resources and lessons available to teachers. The workshop will also include a tour of MOHAI's new Celluloid Seattle exhibit, which examines the history and identity of Seattle through the films that were made here and through the history of movie-going in our city. Four clock hours available with additional fee.

Cost: Free with advanced registration.
