Whether for documenting family history or a desire to incorporate rich stories into a memoir, film, or podcast, this two-part workshop will help you make of use of oral history as a medium for gathering meaningful material. This second session will expand upon the first (offered April 6), but it can also be taken alone for a person with a basic understanding of oral history. We will discuss technology and special topics related to the field, including archival practices in the digital age and interviewing on sensitive subjects. You'll also receive ideas on where to pursue a "venue" for your project, and valuable resources to continue project development. Workshop is led by experienced oral historian Shelly Leavens.
